Abstract

In this paper the author presents opinions of the students who are preparing to work in the social welfare sector. Te author presents images of persons who need help on the basis of students’ essays. Te author also discusses the role of image of a client in providing help in accordance with the coupled social roles model describes by Barbara Hajduk. He presents potential sources of development of students’ stereotypes regarding people with whom they will work in the future. Te intention of the author of the article can be a contribution to the reflection on the changes in the education of students. Conclusions suggest the need to take more intensive work with students life experience, the changing their stereotypes, the training of their attitudes to others people.
