WOMEN AND ACADEMIC RESEARCH: reflective research analysis

Abstract

The study is the result of qualitative academic research. The author attempts to present the contexts in which women undertake their academic careers and on the one hand tries to show the experience shared by all women involved in academic research, whereas on the other hand highlights what is uniąue and personal in their work. The academic career of women is presented in four different per- spectives: in the context of cohesion and timing, obstacles, difficulties and doubts, everyday life and the elusive. The contexts presented make readers aware of how significant self-analysis and adding personal meaning to particular situations, experiences and events is.
